Bhubaneswar: The Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, faculty of medicine of the SOA (Deemed University), has been ranked first in the eastern region in a countrywide fertility and IVF ranking survey conducted by Times Health recently.
The Centre for Human Reproduction (CHR), which has been operating inside the IMS and SUM Hospital since 2012, is the first test tube baby centre in Odisha to function in a medical college, the press release said.
The survey has ranked this facility 15th in India and it is the only centre from the eastern zone to figure among the top twenty IVF centers in the country. The facility offers IVF (in-vitro fertilization) laboratory complex, couple counseling, transvaginal scan, ovulation induction and follicular monitoring, fertility enhancing laparoscopic surgeries, semen analysis, intra uterine insemination (IUI), IVF, intra cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), surgical sperm retrieval procedures (TESA/PESA), semen freezing, embryo freezing and donor sperm II-Jl and IVF.
