Bhubaneswar: Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Makerere University at Kampala, Uganda, for knowledge transfer through development of collaborative research projects.
The two universities would conduct joint academic, scientific and cross-cultural activities and organise short and long term exchange of research and teaching personnel as well as students. The institutions will also exchange publication and other materials of common interest. Makerere is ranked fifth-best university in Africa.
The MoU was signed recently by Vice-Chancellor of Makerere University Prof Barnabas Nawange and Pro-Vice Chancellor of SOA Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda.
Director, University Outreach Programme of SOA, Prof. Nachieketa K. Sharma will be the coordinator for the university, had visited Makerere University in Kampala recently.
