Bhubaneswar: Researchers at the SOA Deemed to be University here have developed a sanitizer to fight the coronavirus.
The sanitizer has been developed by the researchers at the Centre of Biotechnology under the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences using isopropanol, hydrogen peroxide, glycerol and skin emollient.
“These products, prepared as per WHO guideline, are mainly for distribution,” said Dr. Basudeba Kar, Assistant Professor at CBT. Three hundred spray bottles of the sanitizer with lemon grass fragrance, have already been prepared, he added.
Researchers Subhashree Singh, Bhaskar Chandra Sahu, Manaswini Dash, Debasish Sahu and Bhabani Shankar Behera were guided by Dr. Kar and Dr. Suprava Sahu in the project.
