Soldier Commits Suicide At LoC In Poonch

Poonch: A soldier committed suicide in the early hours of Sunday at a post along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.

The havaldar from Indian Army’s 39 Rashtriya Rifles regiment was stationed at the Nambal post in Salotri village. The reason for suicide is yet to be ascertained, the Hindustan Times reported.

Police are investigating the death under section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). A judicial inquiry has also been initiated.
