Bollywood singer from Odisha, Sona Mohapatra’s documentary film ‘Shut Up Sona’ has won the Special Jury Mention in Film Critics Guild Award category at Jio MAMI 21st Mumbai Film Festival.
Directed by Deepti Gupta, the film is about Sona’s journey as a rock star, singer, activist, #MeToo campaigner and more. It shows how the singer’s outspoken nature has landed her in trouble a few times.
Sona had earlier accused singer Kailash Kher and composer Anu Malik of sexual harassment.
