Mumbai: Singer Sona Mohapatra, who has been on and off the news more for controversy than her albums, has robbed the wrong man in Bollywood-Salman Bhai.
The subject was the controversial video of TikTok star Faisal Siddiqui’s which elicited complaints that the Chinese video-sharing platform was posting the contents that are misguiding and misleading. While many critics cried for a ban such videos, some Bollywood stars also joined in the BanTikTokIndia campaign in Twitter.
As the war raged on between Faisal’s supporters and the ban card-holders, Sona also pitched in. She wrote on Twitter, “Demeaning women is normalised in our culture. We grew up with stories of Salman Khan, breaking bottles on his girlfriend’s head in public, yet the country’s biggest star? Needs to stop.”
Though the off-screen barbs between Salman and Sona is a heady potent for social media, the latest one is set to take it to a new high.
