New Delhi: Bollywood actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have confirmed their wedding date and have also released their wedding invite. The couple will get married on June 23 in Mumbai, India Today, which first broke the news, confirmed in its report.
The wedding invite has been designed like the cover of a magazine. It features a love-soaked picture of Sonakshi and Zaheer from one of their vacations. The invite says, “We’re making it official! (Finally) The rumours were true.”
Sonakshi Singh and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding card also divulges details about their wedding venue, time, and dress code. Along with the card, the couple shared an audio message with the caption, “To Love, Laughter & Our Happily Ever After”.
“To all our hip, tech-savvy and jasoos friends and family, who managed to land on this page, Hi… Over the last seven years that we have been together, all the love, joy, laughter, and many adventures have led us to this very moment. The moment when we go from being each other’s rumoured girlfriend and boyfriend to being each other’s definite and official husband and wife. FINALLY,” Sonakshi and Zaheer said in the audio message as Momina Mustehsan and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s ‘Afreen Afreen’ played in the background.
They added, “This celebration would not be complete without you. So, drop whatever you are doing on June 23, and come party with us. See you there.”
The couple, who have been dating each other for seven years now, will get married at Bastian, Mumbai, India Today reported. Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding card says that the wedding celebration of the actors will start at 8 pm on June 23. The invite mentions that the guests must come dressed in formal outfits. The couple has made it clear that no guest can wear red at their wedding celebration.
Reports suggest that Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding will be a low-key affair. However, Sonakshi has extended her wedding invitation to her ‘Heeramandi’ co-actors, including Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, and others. Salman Khan is also expected to attend the wedding ceremony.
Earlier, Sonakshi Sinha’s father and Bollywood actor, Shatrughan Sinha, had said that he is not aware of Sonakshi’s wedding plans. He also explained that his daughter has the right to make her own decisions. “We trust her judgement completely. She would never make an extra-constitutional or illegal decision. As a consenting adult, she has the right to make her own decisions,” he told Zoom.
