Mumbai: Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s ‘Tu Hai Meri Kiran’ is slated to release in theatres on October 23, with producers Vishal Rana and Sarvesh Goel stating that the dispute surrounding the film has been resolved internally.
The film’s theatrical release had come under a cloud of uncertainty earlier this week after the Bombay High Court intervened in a financial dispute between its co-producers.
Reacting to the latest development, producer Vishal Rana said, “There were certain matters that needed to be addressed, and I am glad that we have been able to resolve them internally. Everything is now sorted, and we are moving ahead with the release of Tu Hai Meri Kiran as planned on 23rd October. Our focus has always been on bringing the film to audiences, and we look forward to its theatrical release tomorrow.”
Sarvesh Goel also addressed the situation, stating, “There have been reports surrounding the film, but I would like to clarify that the matter has been resolved internally. We are moving forward as planned, and Tu Hai Meri Kiran will release in cinemas on 23rd October. Our priority is to ensure that the film reaches audiences as intended, and we look forward to its release.”
The Bombay High Court had stayed the film’s theatrical release amid a financial dispute between its co-producers.
Movie Products LLP approached the court over an alleged failure to refund its ₹8.85 crore investment and a cheque that was reportedly dishonoured.
Written and directed by Karan Rawal, ‘Tu Hai Meri Kiran’ stars Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal in a story blending romance, mystery and suspense.
The film’s first-look poster offers few clues about the plot, instead building intrigue around the lead pair.
