Mumbai: Sonam Kapoor thanks her lucky stars that she didn’t get married to someone from the film industry.
Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam tied the knot with businessman Anand Ahuja in 2018.
“I’m really fortunate to have met somebody who is like-minded and a feminist,” she told Vogue.
“Thank god I didn’t meet somebody who is from the same industry as me, because their world view can be very limited. It’s all about what’s happening in Bollywood,” said the actress who and her husband divide time between their New Delhi and London homes.
Asked about her married life, Sonam said: “This is the first year that we’ve spent every night together. Usually, we travel so much. I’ve realised that we’re obsessed with each other and we have a lot of fun together.”
Sonam, who starred in The Zoya Factor two years ago, will next be seen in Blind, a remake of a South Korean thriller which was shot in Scotland.
