New Delhi: Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital on Sunday owing to COVID-related issues.
“She is stable and will be kept at the hospital for observation,” senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said.
Sonia had tested positive for COVID on June 2 and was supposed to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on June 8 in connection with a money laundering case linked to the National Herald newspaper-AJL issue.
The ED has issued a fresh summon and she has been asked to appear before the agency on June 23. Rahul Gandhi has also been summoned for questioning in the case on June 13.
