Sonia, Rahul, Priyanka Likely To Offer Resignation Today

New Delhi: Gandhi family’s all three members who are in senior positions in the Indian National Congress (Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) are reportedly set to offer resignations at the Congress meet scheduled for Sunday, March 13, according to an NDTV report.

However, the Congress party has denied that the Gandhis would be offering their resignations on Sunday.

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting will take place in the national capital to discuss the ongoing poll debacles in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa, and Punjab. The CWC may pitch advancing the internal elections that are slated to be held in September this year.

The poor performance of the Congress party in the 2022 polls has brought back criticism against the members of the Gandhi family and a need for an overhaul of the party’s leadership.

Senior Congress leaders Shashi Tharoor and Jaiveer Shergill also openly spoke out following the party’s disastrous show in the polls.
