Mumbai: After many bigwigs of the nation voiced their concern on Twitter, actor Sonu Sood also took to the microblogging site on Tuesday, extending his support to the students’ call to postpone the upcoming JEE and NEET exams in September amidst the threats of the pandemic.
From social media influencers to veteran journalists and politicians of the nation, all have extended their support to the cause.
The mass movement over Twitter gained momentum as it was also joined by young climate activists from across the globe.
A few days ago, the Supreme Court dismissed a plea for the exams to be postponed. “Career of students cannot be put under jeopardy for long,” the court said.
