Mayurbhanj: Police on Monday arrested seven persons for allegedly thrashing five women on the suspicion of practising witchcraft at Madhupur village in Mayurbhanj district.
The accused were arrested after a video on the incident went viral on Sunday.
Earlier on October 22, a group of villagers beat up the women in a Kangaroo Court for allegedly practising black magic that claimed the lives of four children in three months in the locality.
