Mumbai: Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly’s biopic, starring actor Rajkummar Rao, has finally gone on floors and got an official title too.
On Wednesday evening, Rajkummar took to Instagram and shared, “And it begins… The one and only #DADA”
The biopic titled as ‘Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story’ is being directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Luv Ranjan.
‘Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story’ recently made headlines after Rajkummar Rao appeared at an event with a changed look, including weight gain and a new hairstyle.
His transformation sparked concern among fans about his health. However, the actor later clarified that it was part of his preparation for the biopic on Sourav Ganguly.
“For Nikam I had to gain around 9-10 kgs and I was eating 2 pizzas and lot of sweets and my fav Aloo Parathas, Biryani and to not use anything glam to look like the part. Hopefully when you will see the film which will be releasing soon you will be able to see all that hardwork in the film. And now it’s the transition phase and time to lose these extra kgs and get ready to slip into Ganguly mode. Our very own Dada,” read a portion of the actor’s post on Instagram.
