South Africa End India’s Unbeaten Run In Rain-Hit Match

Johannesburg: South Africa pulled up a spectacular chase in rain-hit 4th ODI and ended India’s run for a clean sweep in the six-ODI series. India is currently leading the series 3-1.

Rain interrupted play twice while both the team were on the pitch to bat. After a loss of 113 minutes, South Africa received a reduced target of 202 runs to be chased in 28 overs.

While Hashim Amla (33) and Aiden Markram (22) gave the attacking start, Heinrich Klaasen smashed 43 not out off 27 balls (5 fours, 1 six) and led the team to victory.

India had set an initial target of 290 runs, with Shikhar Dhawan scoring a century (109) in his 100th match. With this, Dhawan became the first Indian player to score a century in his 100th ODI.
