South Korea-Returned Odia Youth Tests Negative For COVID-19

Sambalpur: A 23-year-old youth, who was admitted to VIMSAR, Burla, on February 25, has tested negative for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The VIMSAR hospital authorities received the report of his blood and swab samples of the youth on Thursday.

A native of Hemgiri in Sundargarh district, he had returned home from South Korea on February 22. Following mild fever and sore throat, he went to Hemgiri CHC for treatment on February 25. Suspecting Coronavirus infection, the CHC authorities informed Sundargarh Health Administration and he was shifted to VIMSAR.
