Bhubaneswar: The southwest monsoon withdrew from entire Odisha on Friday, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
According to the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, the southwest monsoon has withdrawn from the entire Odisha on Friday.
The line of withdrawal of the southwest monsoon now passes through Forbesganj, Malda, Vishakhapatnam, Nalgonda, Raichur, and Vengurla, it said.
With the withdrawal of southwest monsoon and warm wind from the west, several parts of the state are experiencing hot and humid weather making life uncomfortable for the people.
The day temperature (maximum temperature) in many areas of the state has been hovering around 35°C to 36°C.
In most places, the heat is unbearable during the daytime, while the humidity is making life miserable. Such dry weather is likely to prevail for the next five days amid likelihood of a few spells of light to moderate rain in a few places, the MeT Centre said.
