Bhubaneswar: With the monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly scheduled to begin on July 2, newly appointed Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha has convened an all-party meeting on June 29.
According to sources, the Speaker has called the meeting to seek the cooperation of all parties for smooth functioning of the session. The meeting would start at 11 am on the scheduled day.
In view of rising positive cases of COVID-19, the meeting is also likely to discuss the arrangements to be made in the Assembly during the session which will continue from July 2 to August 24. It will have 24 working days.
Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari is set to present full Budget of over Rs 2 lakh crore for 2022-23 financial year on the opening day of the session.
The state government had presented a Vote on Account of Rs 1,06,498 crore on March 30 for the first four months (April-July). The full Budget with provisions for new schemes of the government will be tabled for the period from August 2022 to March 2023.
