Bhubaneswar: The Narendra Modi government will lay special emphasis on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in the forthcoming budget, which could be presented in July.
Informing this, Union Minister of State for MSME Pratap Sarangi said the MSME sector will see radical transformation in the days to come, providing employment opportunities to both the poor and the youth. “The sector generates maximum number of employment opportunities after the agriculture sector,” he said.
“We will take strides in the sector,” he told reporters during the first visit to Odisha after being sworn in as a Union Minister in the Narendra Modi 2.0 Cabinet.
This will be the first full-scale budget of the Modi government. It is believed that employment creation will be the central theme of the budget.
To another question, Sarangi said all steps are being taken for farmers engaged in coconut cultivation in the state.
