Special OTET 2022 Exam To Be Held Afresh In Odisha’s Malkangiri, Check Details

Malkangiri: The Special Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2022 will be conducted afresh at three centre in Odisha’s Malkangiri district following allegation of malpractice, a release issued by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, said on Friday.

The fresh date for examination will be notified shortly and the admit cards for these candidates will be available on the Board’s website seven days prior to the date of examination, it said.

The re-examination will be conducted only for the candidates, who had appeared at the said examination in the three examination centres. However, candidates who remained absent on August 28 will not be allowed to take the exam, it added.

On August 29, tentative answer keys believed to be of Set A of OTET 2022 went viral on social media before the commencement of the examination in Malkangiri district. There was a buzz that each copy of answer keys was allegedly sold at Rs 5000.

While Paper I was scheduled from 8 am to 10:30 am, Paper II was to be conducted from 12 noon to 2:30 pm.

District Education Officer (DEO) Manas Kumar Jena had then said that the authenticity will be verified.
