Likewise, celebrations of Janmashtami and Nanda Utsav are also underway with pomp and gaiety at many Goudiya Mutts in Puri.

In Bhubaneswar, thousands of devotees are flocking to the Iskcon temple for darshan of Lord Krishna and to partake in the celebrations on the pious occasion.

The temple door was opened at 4 am on Friday. After the Mangala Alati and Abakasa rituals, general darshan started.

After the Sandhya Dhupa, Janmashtami rituals will begin at the temple in the evening.
