Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has started a direct special train between Visakhapatnam and Subedarganj (Allahabad) via Vizianagaram-Srikakulam-Bhubaneswar.
According to an ECoR release, 82507/82508 Visakhapatnam-Subedarganj-Visakhapatnam Suvidha Special will leave Visakhapatnam at 11.50 pm every Tuesday between October 8 and November 19 and from Subedarganj at 10.10 am every Thursday between October 10 and November 21. Subedarganj is just 15 minutes away from Allahabad, which is the next station.
The special train will have stoppages at Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Naraj, Bhadrak, Balasore, Midnapur, Bankura, Adra, Gomoh, Koderma, Gaya, Sasaram, Pt.Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn, Mirzapur and Allahabad between Visakhapatnam and Allahabad from both directions.
A decision will be taken regarding further extension of this train depending on the popularity of this special train, the release added.
