Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a three-day official tour of Odisha, starting August 3, during which she is scheduled to visit Bhubaneswar, Kataka, and Bramhapur, as well as Taptapani in Ganjam district.
The Rashtrapati Bhavan has shared a draft schedule of the visit with the Odisha government and administrative departments to initiate necessary arrangements.
According to the draft itinerary, President Murmu will arrive in Bhubaneswar on August 3 and proceed to Lok Bhavan. On the same day, she will attend the inauguration ceremony of Jagadguru Kripalu University in Kataka as the chief guest.
On the morning of August 4, the President will travel from Bhubaneswar to Berhampur railway station aboard a special train. From Berhampur, she will proceed by road to Taptapani to offer prayers at Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple. Following the temple visit, she is expected to halt for the night at the Army Air Defence College in Gopalpur.
On August 5, President Murmu will travel from Gopalpur back to Bramhapur railway station, from where she will board the special train to return to Bhubaneswar. Upon reaching the capital, she will depart for New Delhi by air.
In view of the President’s scheduled visit, comprehensive directions have been issued to the administration, police departments, railway authorities, and other agencies concerned across Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Ganjam districts. Detailed guidelines covering security arrangements, station and route security, medical support, catering, accommodation, stage setups, and presidential protocol have been provided by Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Special focus is being placed on coordinating security, platform management, green room setups, VVIP movement, and dedicated coach arrangements at both Bhubaneswar and Berhampur railway stations for her train journey. The district administrations have been instructed to finalise all preparations well in advance and submit a compliance report prior to her arrival.
