Bargarh: Irate villagers blocked a main road after a speeding vehicle killed a man at Behera Bazar area near Baghmari village in Bargarh Sadar on Wednesday.
According to eye witnesses, the man, who is aged around 55 was crossing the road with his cattle when a speeding vehicle ran into him. The driver was riding in such high speed that the man flung to other end of the road after being hit by the car, said Saroj Pradhan of Krushanpuri.
Pradeep Behera of the village said the old man was crossing the road when the vehicle zoomed past killing the man on the spot. He requested people to drive in normal speed for the safety of other people and prevent untimely deaths.
