Jharsuguda: Budget carrier SpiceJet is all set to launch flight operations from Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Odisha’s Jharsuguda to Kolkata and Visakhapatnam very soon.
The airline will begin Jharsuguda-Kolkata and Jharsuguda-Visakhapatnam flight services from July 10, according to airport officials.
Apart from this, flight services from Jharsuguda to Chennai and Bengaluru, which were suspended last year, are also expected to resume. Flights to Chennai will be available thrice a week while the same for Bengaluru will be available four times in a week, they said.
The airline had given a proposal in this regard to the airport authorities and it has been approved.
Flight services are now available from the airport to Bhubaneswar (Air India), Kolkata (Air India), Hyderabad (SpiceJet) and Delhi (SpiceJet).
