Bhubaneswar: The Special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) court on Saturday framed charges against Ollywood actor and comedian Tattwa Prakash Satpathy alias Papu Pompom in connection with the much-hyped minor casting couch case.
The charges were framed against Papu Pompom, who appeared before the court, under Sections 341, 323 and 354 of the IPC and Sections 8 and 12 of the POCSO Act.
On June 30 last year, Commissionerate Police arrested Papu Pompom and his associate Pradipta Swain alias Gitu on sexual exploitation charges, following a complaint lodged at Mahila police station by a Bhubaneswar-based NGO.
The Orissa High Court granted them conditional bail on August 10, 2016.
Papu Pompom is accused of sexually exploiting a minor girl on the pretext of giving her a break in movies.
