Chennai: India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik and squash-playing wife Dipika Pallikal have been blessed with twin boys.
Karthik announced the good news on social media.
“And just like that 3 became 5.. Dipika and I have been blessed with two beautiful baby boys Kabir Pallikal Karthik Zian Pallikal Karthik and we could not be happier,” tweeted Karthik along with pictures of Dipika Pallikal and their newborns.
The 3 that Karthik refers to is their pet dog.
Karthik, who recently played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, also donned the commentator’s hat during the India versus England Test series August-September.
One of India’s top female squash players, Pallikal is the first from the country to be ranked in the world’s top 10. The two got married in August 2015.
