Bhubaneswar: The process for spot admission in degree colleges in Odisha will begin on November 9, according to a notification by the Higher Education Department.
However, spot admissions will be restricted to the following categories of students:
1-Those who have submitted the Common Admission Form (CAF) online, but couldn’t deposit the fees for the same.
2-Those who have submitted the CAF fees, but weren’t selected during the first and second selection processes.
3-Those who were selected, but couldn’t take admission.
4- Those who had taken admission, but want to change college or subject.
However, fresh or new applicants will not be entertained.
Besides, the vacant seats will be published on the SAMS website on November 9.
The applicants can drop their forms in a ‘drop box facility’ between November 10 and 4 pm of November 13.
The list of shortlisted candidates for spot admission will be published by colleges on their notice boards by 3 pm on November 17.
The selected students can deposit their admission fees by logging into SAMS website from 11.45 pm of November 21.
Admission and data update of students who took admission online will be done between November 23 and 6 pm of November 27.
