Bhubaneswar: Following the forecast of rain with thunderstorm and lighting in several districts of Odisha from February 17 to 19, the office of Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has directed the district collectors to remain alert.
The SRC has told the collectors to circulate the forecast among the public and monitor the situation. They have also been told to take necessary action in case of any eventuality.
In a mid-day bulletin on Tuesday, the IMD issued yellow warning for Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Angul districts for February 17. These districts are likely to receive light to moderate rain or thundershower on the day.
Similarly, yellow warning has been issued for Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Bargarh, Bolangir and at one or two places over the district of Balasore,Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Nabarangpur for February 18 and 19.
