New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad kept their momentum as they defeated Delhi Daredevils by nine wickets at Feroz Shah Kotla on Thursday. With this SRH have become the first team to qualify for the play-off. Delhi, on the other hand, are out of contention.
Led by Kane Williamson who scored unbeaten 83 off 53 balls and Shikhar Dhawan’s unbeaten 92 off 50 balls, the duo put 176-run stand to score 191/1 in 18.5 overs. Opener Alex Hales was sent to the dug-out by Harshal Patel at 14 runs.
Batting first, Rishab Pant’s century for Delhi, his maiden hundred, went in vain as the hosts put on board 187 runs on the board. Pant smashed 128 runs in just 63 balls.
