New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Monday gave its approval to the appointment of Sridhar Patra as chairman-cum-managing director (CMD) of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO).
He has been serving as Director (Finance) of NALCO since September 1 last year.
Patra has been appointed to the CMD post till the date of his superannuation (October 31, 2024), a Personnel Ministry order said.
A graduate in Commerce from Utkal University, he is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He completed his MBA (HRD) from Vidya Sagar University and has also contributed as an academician.
Patra was earlier with THDC India Ltd and various Public Sector Undertakings like Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd, Indian Rare Earths Ltd and Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd
