Stage Set, Delhi Ready For Curtain Raiser Of Utkarsh Odisha Conclave; Check Event Schedule

Bhubaneswar: The precursor to Utkarsh Odisha-Make-in-Odisha Conclave 2025, the state’s premier business summit, will see two high-profile events in New Delhi on Thursday.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who flew to the national capital last evening, is scheduled to address ambassadors of more than 10 countries in the first event, showcasing Odisha’s vibrant industrial ecosystem and emerging investment opportunities, besides supportive policies, ease of doing business, and ongoing efforts to create an investor-friendly environment. Ambassadors, high commissioners, consul-generals, trade commissioners and senior diplomats from across the globe will attend the event, according to official sources.

A high-level delegation from Odisha comprising the industries minister Sampad Chandra Swain, chief secretary Manoj Ahuja and many senior officials are accompanying the CM.

Majhi will have separate one-on-one meetings with delegations of industry bodies such as FICCI, CII, associations of auto-parts and apparels, among others, in the afternoon. This will be followed by a curtain raiser for the conclave during which the state government will unveil the detailed programme of the investors’ summit.

The state will also host an interactive session with the CM and a roadshow for business leaders and industrialists from the Delhi NCR region in the evening.

Sources further said the government seeks to establish stronger international collaborations and showcase Odisha’s role as a key contributor to India’s industrial growth through this strategic engagements.

The CM will personally invite global stakeholders to participate in Utkarsh Odisha to be held on January 28 and 29 in Bhubaneswar.

Before leaving for Delhi, Majhi told reporters that  Odisha has set a target to attract Rs 5 lakh crore investment in next five years and emerge as the favourite destination of investors. “In the 100 days of our government, the state has received investments worth Rs 45,000 crore. I will interact with business leaders and invite them to the mega investment summit scheduled for next year,” he added.
