Bhubaneswar: All arrangements are in place for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bhubaneswar on Tuesday to launch Odisha government’s ambitious Subhadra Yojana and other projects.
While final touches are being given to preparations at Janata Maidan in the state capital where the Prime Minister will roll out the flagship scheme, a carcade rehearsal was also held ahead of his visit.
As all are eagerly waiting for the high-profile visit, detailed tour programme of Modi is now available. As per the itinerary, the Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport IBPIA) in Bhubaneswar by a special plane at 11 am on Tuesday, sources said.
Soon after arrival, Modi is slated to proceed to Gadakana in the city where he will hold discussions with the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). He will hold discussions with them between 11.15 am and 11.45 am.
Thereafter, the PM will leave for Janata Maidan and reach there at 11.55 am for the launch of Subhadra Yojana. Modi is also slated to launch several railway and national highway projects worth Rs 3800 crore during the event. He is slated to depart for New Delhi at 1.25 pm after his brief visit.
Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been made for Modi’s visit. Around 81 platoons of police force will be deployed in the state capital the security arrangements.
On Sunday, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi also inspected the arrangements, including security measures at the venue . He directed the officials concerned to leave nothing to chance and asked the police to make the security arrangements foolproof.
Traffic restrictions will also be in place in Bhubaneswar from 7.30 am to 3 pm on Tuesday in view of huge gathering at the launch event of Subhadra Yojana by the PM at Janata Maidan here.
