State Full Of Sporting Gems!

Bhubaneswar: Sporting talents from Odisha have been doing the state proud lately and this was quite evident from the latest updates on social media in the last 24 hours.

Four players from Odisha – Pramod Bhagat, Dileswar Rao, Diparanjan Bisoi and Sunil Pradhan – will be representing India in Thailand Para-badminton 2018 international event, beginning Wednesday.

The event will conclude on July 30.

The Youth and Sports Department of Odisha tweeted three other sports updates:

Two footballers from Odisha, Jabamani Tudu and Mansha Panna, have made it to the Indian women’s football team participating in the upcoming COTIF Cup from July 26 till August 9 in Spain.


Similarly, Sidhant Mohapatra of FM University (standing 3rd from left) and Akankhya Kabi of KIIT University (sitting 3nd from right) are among the eight players selected to represent Indian Universities in the World University #Chess Championship at Aracaju, Brazil.


The third update was about Ayushman Mohanty, who won a bronze medal in open category of 32nd National U-7 Chess Championship at Tumkur, Karnataka.
