Bhubaneswar: The collection of State GST (SGST) in Odisha registered a growth of 54% and gross GST 49% during financial year 2021-22.
According to the office of the State GST Commissioner, the State GST collection was Rs 12,743.01 crore in 2021-22 fiscal against Rs 8,292.15 crore in the previous fiscal with a growth rate of 54%. In March alone, SGST of Rs 1,351.25 crore was collected against Rs 954.62 crore during March 2021, with a growth rate of 42%.
Similarly, the gross GST collection was Rs 44,334.67 crore in 2021-22 fiscal against Rs 29,852.76 crore in the previous financial year with a growth rate of 49%. The gross GST collection in March was Rs 4,124.66 crore against Rs 3,285.29 crore in same month last fiscal, thereby registering a growth of 26%.
The growth in GST collection was mostly contributed by mining and manufacturing sectors. While the mining sector registered a growth of 81%, the manufacturing sector recorded 84%.
The services, trading and work contract sectors reported growth of 56.78%, 52.07% and 36.99% during 2021-22 fiscal over the previous fiscal.
