State-Level Committee Reviews Modalities For Launch Of Subhadra Yojana In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government will disburse the first installment of financial assistance to beneficiaries of Subhadra Yojana on September 17.

On the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the state level program to be organised at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar where the PM is very likely to distribute the Subhadra cards to the beneficiaries included in the scheme, the Chief Secretary’s office informed on Tuesday.

A meeting of Subhadra Yojana State-Level Management Committee was charired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja today during which he reviewed modaities to conduct the programme smoothly. Women and Child Development Secretary Shubha Sharma made a presentation regarding the preparations at the meeting.

Ahuja reviewed the preparedness of reception committee, cultural committee, city beautification committee, public relations committee, Nari Shakti committee, coordination committee and other sub-committees for the event.

The meeting discussed various aspects, including venue preparation, parking, traffic management, transportation, pass distribution, and media management. The Chief Secretary emphasised the need for coordination and cooperation among sub-committees for the successful conduct of the state-level gathering.

The senior officials discussed steps taken to simplify Subhadra Yojana application process which begins tomorrow (September 4). Electronics & IT Secretary Vishal Dev elaborated on steps taken to make the application process easier for beneficiaries.

As per the instructions of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the application form distribution program of ‘Subhadra’ is going on in all the districts.

The meeting also discussed about management of toll-free number-14678 “call center”, for inquiries related to Subhadra Yojana.

Among others, senior officals of various departments, urban bodies, BDA, IDCO, etc were present at the meeting.
