Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced revision of pay for the State PSU employees as per recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission.
As per a release by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the State PSU employees would receive their revised pay with effect from January 1, 2016.
While the earlier gratuity was calculated on the basic pay, dearness allowance (DA) will be included with emoluments for calculation of Death-cum-Retirement-Gratuity (DCRG) the release said.
Besides, contractual employees under the state government will also be benefited as the state government has decided to enhance their remuneration by about 25 percent.
The Chief Minister in August last year had announced implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendation with effect from January 1, 2016 which was approved by the State Cabinet In September 2016, the State Cabinet had approved a proposal to implement the recommendations for over eight lakh state government employees and pensioners.
