Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh cabinet on Saturday decided to hire the Statue of Unity sculptor to create the statue of BJP stalwart and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for installation at the historic Ridge in the state’s capital city here.
Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri winner Ram Vanji Sutar had crafted the 182-metre (600 foot) bronze Statue of Unity and 50 other sculptures of political leaders. He will be assisted by Anil Sutar.
