Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 cases in the state capital is on the rise again with 496 new positives being reported in the last 24 hours. This is an increase of 121 over Wednesday when 375 cases were reported.
Of the new cases, 89 were from quarantine and 407 local contacts, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation stated in its tweet.
The highest number of cases were from Patia (39), followed by Chandrasekharpur and Nayapalli (23 each), Old Town (19), Dumduma (18), Khandagiri (17), Niladri Vihar (16) and Badagada (13).
A total of 410 patients recovered during this period. The city has now 1,557 active cases.
The aggregate caseload in Bhubaneswar has risen to 88,145.
The total number of recoveries has gone up to 86,147 and the death toll stands at 420.
