Dhenkanal: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has seized huge amount of explosive materials and arrested 5 persons for illegal stone mining from different places in Dhenkanal district.
As per reports, the STF teams conducted raids in different places under Rasol, Balimi and Motanga police stations in the district following information about illegal stone mining.
During the raids, the STF seized the explosive materials used in the mining. The seized materials included 200 detonators, 75 pieces of gelatin sticks and 50 kg of ammonium nitrate.
Besides, a JCB machine, 2 Hitachi vehicles, 2 compressors and 2 Poclain excavators were recovered from the mining sites in the three places, the sources said.
