Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader and member of the party’s state executive body, Bhuban Mohan Jena, on Thursday appeared before the Special Task Force here over his alleged links with dreaded Kendrapara district gangster Tito.
Soon after his arrival at the STF office in the morning, a team of officials led by the STF SP began interrogating him.
The STF came to know about Jena’s business deal with Tito during a probe into a filling station owned by Tito at Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district.
BJP workers were staging a demonstration in front of the STF office in protest against Jena’s interrogation.
