Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday warned the authorities of Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital of stern action for allegedly harassing students during admission in their institute.
In a notice, the Health and Family Welfare Department has said it has received complaints from the students that the authorities of the Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospitals are harassing them at the time of reporting and demanding excess fee from them.
Since the admission of the students is being done as per OJEE guidelines, no private medical college and hospital can take any undertaking either from the students or their parents/guardians. If any such instance comes to the notice of the department, stringent action will be taken against the concerned medical college and if necessary, the government will cancel its NOC (no objection certificate), the notification added.
