Strom R3 Electric Vehicle Bookings Open; Running Cost 40 Paise Per Km

Bhubaneswar: Strom R3, an electric three-wheeler, is available for a booking amount of Rs 10,000.

It is a 2-seater electric car that measures 2,907 mm in length and weighs 550 kg.

It has a range of up to 200km and is powered by a 20 BHP electric motor. It has a top speed of 80 kmph along with three driving modes (Eco, Normal and Sports) and regenerative braking. The lithium batteries can be recharged in 3 hours and costs around Re 0.40 per km to run depending on your electricity rate.

The vehicle has sun roof, alloy wheels, 4.3-inch touchscreen digital instrument cluster, 7.0-inch vertically oriented touchscreen head-unit with IOT-enabled Continuous Monitoring System, voice control, gesture control, 20 GB onboard music storage.

There is also an additional 2.4-inch touchscreen below it. The user interface is customizable.

There is a 3-year/1,00,000 km warranty with the car. It is expected to be priced around Rs 4.5 lakh ex-showroom.
