New Delhi: A strong earthquake was felt in New Delhi leading the residents to rush out of their houses on Tuesday night.
As per reports, the tremors were felt by the residents of Noida and other parts of Delhi-NCR at around 10.25 pm. The earthquake lasted for more than 10 seconds.
Soon after the tremors were felt, the residents were seen running away from houses to safer places. Taking to Twitter, several users shared the video and images of the earthquake.
Though there has been no official confirmation, the earthquake of an estimated magnitude of 7.7 on Richter scale struck Turkmenistan, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan at 10.17 pm. Its epicentre was estimated to lie at 90 kms from Kalafgan in Afghanistan, a report of Times Now stated.
