Student Ends Life Over Poor Matric Results

Pattamundai: A student allegedly committed suicide after failing to clear the annual Matric examinations, the results of which were declared recently.

The incident was reported from Santasahi of Kendrapara district.

The deceased has been identified as Ratikrushna Khuntia.

According to information, Ratikrushna slept with his father Malaya Khuntia after having dinner last night. Shockingly, he was found dead this morning by his family members.

Receiving information regarding the incident, police reached the spot and seized the body for post-mortem. Later, a case of unnatural death was registered by police.

The family members of the deceased student alleged that he was depressed from the day when the results were declared and finally took the drastic step.

Ratikrushna and his father, who was working as a village level worker at Gopei village in the district, were staying in a rented house here.
