Puri: A first-year MBBS student of Shri Jagannath Medical College in Puri sustained injuries after falling from the second floor of the institute on Tuesday.
The student has been identified as Vishal Kumar from Bihar.
According to sources, he fell off the second floor after being chased by monkeys and fractured his leg. He has been admitted to Puri hospital for treatment.
Notably, the medical college, established jointly by the central and state governments, was inaugurated on April 11 and it started admissions for 100 MBBS seats from the current academic session.
