The injured student was admitted to a local hospital, Thane police told PTI. He was later discharged after treatment.

According to police sources, the three students asked the victim to show his answer sheet during the SSC examination. But he refused. Enraged by his refusal, they caught hold of him as soon as he came out of the examination hall, and thrashed and stabbed him, leaving him badly injured.

A case under Section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon or means) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the three minor accused at Shanti Nagar police station in Bhiwandi.
