Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the students’ union elections, an aspirant candidate of Utkal University here was injured in an alleged pre-poll violence on Wednesday.
According to reports, Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra was thrashed by a group of students and non-students. He was admitted to Capital Hospital in a critical condition.
The victim has lodged a complaint in this regard with Sahid Nagar police.
