Bhubaneswar: Hundreds of students of different colleges joined the agitating teachers on Monday, who are on an indefinite strike under the aegis of All Odisha School Teachers and Employees’ United Forum in front of 56 evaluation centres across Odisha since April 4. The teachers are seeking fulfilment of their six-point charter of demands.
Extending solidarity to the striking teachers, the students staged dharna in front of different evaluation centres in Bhubaneswar and Balasore.
On Saturday, Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) chairman Amarendra Patnaik had warned the teachers of criminal proceedings against them, if they fail to join Plus II answer sheet evaluation duty from the next day.
The publication of Plus II results is likely to be delayed as almost 50 percent teachers have boycotted the evaluation process.
