Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday apprehended sub-inspector of Khandagiri police station, Bhubaneswar, Susanta Kumar Swain and another person, identified as Chiranjiv Bala, while allegedly accepting Rs 50,000 bribe.
They had allegedly demanded the illegal gratification in connection with a case registered at the police station.
A case under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018, has been registered and further investigation is on, said an official release.
